Hello Pugmarkers,

We have enhanced Pugmarks.me with a host of new features and worthy updates to the existing ones. For those of you who have been using Pugmarks.me for some time now – Thank You! Please upgrade to the new extension and keep the feedback coming. For those of you who tried courting us but couldn’t make the connect – Do try us again. Things are very different now.

Look and feel
The new Pugmarks.me has a very different look and feel from its predecessors. It is not just revamped, it is new. The earlier version was a strip at the bottom of the page. Some of you told us that the bottom strip comes in the way of reading at times. We took the feedback seriously and pulled all stops to ensure that no content on any page is masked by us. Thanks to innovative thinking by our engineers, the new Pugmarks.me pushes the entire page just a notch down before it places the strip at the top. This means, the extension only augments your reading and does not obstruct it in any way.

And on the rare occasion when you find the strip to be a distraction, you can minimize it by clicking on the arrow at the right extreme of the strip.

Dynamic strip
If there were “Transformers” in the content world, the new Pugmarks.me would be one of them. It senses which part of the page you are reading and changes itself to show you what matters most at that point on the page -  relevant articles or topics worth exploring. Pugmarks.me retains the sleek strip form factor while displaying both articles and topics. If you wish to see more information, an expanded view is just a click away.

One click to articles
Access to related articles is a lot easier with the new Pugmarks.me. In the earlier version, new articles were two clicks away – a first click to expand the strip and a second one on the article of your choice. Now, contextually recommended articles are available right on the strip and you can navigate to another article with just a click.

Explore with click
On any article you are reading, the new Pugmarks.me will tell you the various topics the article is alluding to.  You can explore further by clicking on topics that catch your interest.  Your context now becomes that topic and articles that are centred around that topic are now showcased on the strip. You can click on any of these articles and continue reading. Have fun exploring!

Explore with highlight
Clicking on recommended topics is not the only way to explore. As you read any article, there will be terms, phrases or paragraphs that you will want to know more about. The new Pugmarks.me will be your best friend here! Just select the piece of text that has captured your curiosity and the Pugmarks.me will quench it by bringing you relevant articles – another avatar of the strip at the top. Just another way to explore in context.

One up on context
The new Pugmarks.me takes contextual exploration beyond article pages. Pugmarks.me links up people or products with interesting and relevant content. Be it the people on Linkedin or the products on Amazon, Pugmarks.me brings you interesting and relevant content on them as you browse those pages.

Blacklist
We ensure Pugmarks.me does not appear on sites where we cannot offer much value. This list includes sites run by banks, gmail, facebook and so on. And this list is updated often to keep the Pugmarks.me experience consistent and glitch free. Over and above this, if Pugmarks.me appears on any site where you do not want it, you can tell us with just a click. The next time you visit that site, Pugmarks.me will neither access the contents of the site nor give any recommendations on it.

Share with anyone
Pugmarks.me always made sharing of information easy and intelligent. While the earlier version allowed sharing only with your network on Pugmarks.me, the new version makes it easy for you to share even with people outside Pugmarks.me. All you need is the name and the mail id of the person you wish to share with.

Fresh
The landing page on Pugmarks.me has now become your personalized news page – noteworthy articles curated just for you based on your interests and connections. We call this Fresh. If you like starting your day feeling informed about topics that matter to you (and not just popular news), then Fresh is the place to go.  Come here as often as you want, and we bring you the latest information that is relevant to you.
